New Look
After destroying the engine in the faithful Escort Cosworth it was decided that the 'old girl' was either due a complete rebuild or it was time to retire her.
When the decision was finally made to break the car plans were being made for a swift return to the sport, again another twist of fate and a job change forced yet another delay.
But now with most parts of the cossie now sold we searched around to find a suitable replacement and here she is. Not a very rare Subaru, built to basic clubman specification which will hopefully result in finishes which is what we all enjoy and solidly aim for!
The Aim
After such a long lay-off we hope we are not too rusty and it seemed that our local forestry event was a good place to start, The Somerset Stages, unfortunately, we discovered a diff problem just before the event which forced us to withdraw the entry.
The Blue Scooby is now repaired and raring to start a fresh event as a shake down. As this will be a test, we will enter a tarmac event to put the car through its paces!
The car has been used far more recently than Frazer last competed so we're not sure which needs the shake-down the most, "Well we do really but we don't want to upset the boss"!
